Other Programs


Employee Assistance Program - The Employee Assistance Program is a mandatory program in which all member cities must participate unless they have received an exemption from the CSJVRMA Executive Committee. The Employee Assistance Program provides various counseling and telephone services to employees of the member cities. Clinical counseling services are available to help identify and resolve problems including: 

• relationships • marital issues
• alcohol abuse • chemical dependency
• family problems • stress and emotional distress
• other problems of concern to the employee or their family members

Telephone consultations are available for the following life management services:

• financial consultations
• pre-retirement counseling
• legal counseling
• federal taxpayer consultation and representation services

Business Travel Accident Program - The Business Travel Accident Program is an optional group purchased insurance. The program provides Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment for business related travel. The available benefit levels are $100,000, $150,000, $250,000, and $500,000. Member cities can choose various benefit levels for selected employees. 

Difference in Conditions Program - This program provides coverage for earthquake damage and is an optional program. The limits of coverage (per occurrence and in the aggregate) are the value of the property as reported by each member, or $5,000,000 whichever is less.

Flood coverage is another option available to CSJVRMA members.  Coverage is available through the National Flood Insurance Program and/or excess coverage can be obtained through specialty markets.
